College Uniform

High standards. Shared identity. Pride in belonging.

At Mary Help of Christians Catholic College, we expect all students to wear the correct College uniform and maintain high standards of personal presentation each and every day.

Our uniform expresses belonging to the Mary’s community and respect for its shared expectations. Together with consistent routines and respectful behaviour, these standards contribute to a calm, orderly learning environment where all students can focus on learning.

Wearing the uniform correctly is an everyday way students demonstrate responsibility and pride in their College.

Clear expectations

Students are required to attend school in full, correct uniform, worn neatly and without modification. Personal presentation must meet the College’s standards, including requirements for grooming, hair, jewellery and footwear.

These expectations are a consistent part of College life. Students are expected to respond respectfully to reminders and promptly address any concerns about their uniform or presentation.

Our uniforms

The College has two uniforms, designed with comfort, sun safety, flexibility and inclusivity in mind:

  • Sports Uniform: Generally worn Monday to Thursday and required for practical Physical Education lessons.
  • Academic (Formal) Uniform: Worn by all students on Fridays. Students may also wear it on other days when they do not have practical Physical Education.

Each uniform must be worn with the correct accompanying items, including correct footwear, socks and hat.

Working together with families

We ask parents and carers to support these standards by helping students arrive at school correctly dressed and ready to learn.

If a student is temporarily unable to wear the correct uniform, a parent or carer must provide a note in the student’s diary or email their Pastoral Leader. Families are encouraged to raise any difficulties early so that the College can assist with resolving them.

College uniforms are available from The School Locker at Domain Central, Garbutt.

Uniform and personal presentation requirements

Full requirements, including clothing, footwear, hats, hair, grooming and jewellery, are outlined in the College Handbook.

Families and students are expected to familiarise themselves with these requirements and uphold them throughout the school year.
